Elizabeth Droggitis
Director, Global Empowerment & OpportunitiesElizabeth joined Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors in August 2017. As the Director of the Global Empowerment & Opportunities Practice Area on the Sponsored Projects & Funds team, she manages a portfolio of projects focused on issues international development, human rights, economic opportunity, gender, and more. In particular, Elizabeth works on RPA’s projects centered on the rights of women and girls. Elizabeth provides key operational support to help each project work towards their mission, and she works closely with project leadership and funders to strengthen relationships and maximize impact.
Elizabeth has over thirteen years of program management and fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector. Prior to joining Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, Elizabeth worked as the Membership and Public Education Manager at MADRE, an international women’s human rights organization, where she managed communications and individual giving programs.
Elizabeth has an A.B. in Government & Legal Studies and Spanish from Bowdoin College and a M.Sc. in Gender, Development and Globalisation from the London School of Economics. After graduating from Bowdoin, Elizabeth spent a year in Peru, where she translated for visiting medical campaigns, taught in the local schools, and volunteered at a local women’s empowerment center. In her free time, she loves to travel.
