Innovation to Action: How Technology Can Solve Problems

November 19, 2024

At Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA), we believe innovation is the key to solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges. This belief was at the heart of our recent webinar, Eliminating Lead Poisoning: A Bold Approach to Global Health Innovation, where we explored how technological advancements and collaborative approaches can tackle urgent global health issues like lead poisoning.

This webinar provided a platform to showcase our Eliminating Lead Poisoning Innovation Fund, one of RPA’s Big Bet initiatives. This fund will aim to surface innovation and leverage cutting-edge solutions to address lead poisoning, a preventable crisis affecting millions of children and families worldwide.

We were privileged to hear from a panel of experts, including RPA President and CEO Latanya Mapp, USAID’s Nida Parks, and UNICEF consultant Bret Ericson, and was moderated by Walter Sweet, RPA’s Senior Vice President. Their insights highlighted technology’s and cross-sector collaboration’s critical role in bridging the gap between the challenge lead poisoning presents today and tomorrow’s transformative progress.

Through initiatives like the Eliminating Lead Poisoning Innovation Fund, RPA advances a vision of innovative, inclusive, and action-oriented philanthropy. Together, with our partners and collaborators, we are building a better future—one solution at a time.

We look forward to continuing the conversation and inspiring action to solve the challenges that matter most.
