Unlocking the Power of the Proxy is a publication designed to help the Boards and staffs of private foundations create a process to link programmatic mission with investment strategy. With funds from three dedicated donors, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors collaborated with The As You Sow Foundation to develop and produce the booklet. The hope of the donors and authors of Unlocking is to have the $450 billion that is in the endowments of private foundations play a more active role in the governance and behavior of publicly traded companies.
Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors and As You Sow also collaborated to release The 2008 Proxy Season Preview as a follow up to Unlocking.
